The international jury of the XXV Compasso d’Oro Award conferred the Honorable Mention to the yacht Tango Wallycento#4. The Award Ceremony has been held today in Milan at Rocchetta Courtyard, inside the Sforza Castle, were Tango Wallycento#4, together  with all the products selected by the ADI Permanent Design Observatory, will be at the center of an exhibition  from the 21st to the 26th of June.

The success of this Fuoriserie of the sea is the result of the collaboration among excellences of the sector: Wally, leader in innovation in the Nautical sector, the naval architect Mark Mills, the Italian shipyard Persico Marine and Pininfarina, with its Nautical Division, that designed the interiors.
The interiors of the Wallycento#4 have been designed to be high performing; the result is a last generation ultralight superyacht with the perfect quality and resistance to be high performing.
Founded in 1954 by “La Rinascente”, the Compasso d’Oro Award is conferred starting from a pre-selection provided by ADI design permanent observatory. The recognition has generated the largest Historical Collection of the Design, declared “asset of national interest” by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities in 2004. Starting from today, Wallycento#4 will become part of the abovementioned collection together will all the awarded products during the 64 years history of Compasso d’Oro Award.
“Tango is the boat we wanted to achieve when we started to develop the project: extremely clean lines and an aggressive look, which express the high performance of its DNA “, says Luca Bassani, Chairman of Wally. “The Honorable Mention certifies the design path that generated this superyacht and, at the same time, ratifies the distinctive marks of our brand, making Wally a reference point in the nautical design and beyond.
“We are extremely pleased with our first cruising superyacht: Tango weighs only 47,5 tons thanks to the overall optimizations developed at the beginning of the project. Specifically, we worked hard to lighten the interiors as much as possible, not just using carbon fiber and nomex sandwich in the joinery construction, but also developing different solutions to build, for example, the hinges and veneers” declares Marcello Persico, Persico Marine CEO.
