Land preparation work begins with removal of plant species
The Tenerife Island Government (Cabildo) and Onda Rossa S.L., the company awarded the Tenerife Motor Circuit, have started work on the racetrack today [Thursday 1st December], further to the removal of plant species. The works will be supervised by an environmental specialist company and, once accomplished, the clearing will be carried out with appropriate machinery. Since the signing of the variation order, tests have been carried out to verify the layout and topography of the circuit. These preparation works are essential in order to start the construction of the infrastructure.  The building of the Tenerife Motor Circuit involves a private investment of approximately €23.6 million, of which 21.2 million will be used to build the circuit and 2.4 million to develop the northern access. The works are being carried out by Axia S.R.L., while Onda Rossa S.L. will be in charge of managing the circuit for a period of 35 years, extendable for another five years. The predicted execution time of the circuit’s construction will be 21 months and that for the northern access will be 12 months.
